Dead elm tree an accident waiting to happen

Failure to remove a dead elm tree on a North End, Man. street is creating serious problems for adjacent neighbours. Large branches of the tree, which succumbed to Dutch elm disease about two years ago, recently fell from the weight of a snowfall onto driveways and hydro lines. Residents fear someone will be seriously injured if the city fails to remove the tree.
